Magical Summerland at Wonderland

Last Saturday, June 11th, Leanna Lin's Wonderland was transformed to a Magical Summerland. We celebrated the beginning of Summer with my 1st group art show themed off an old-fashioned boardwalk. Sea creatures & not-so sea creatures, mermaids, ice cream & more took over Wonderland!

Inspired by the annual Mermaid Parade in Coney Island + Mad Men (one of my favorite shows), the artists Axel Honey, Crowded Teeth, Glenda Rolle, Maureen Shields and T&A Friendly created pieces with a slightly darker twist than expected when you visit Wonderland! ALSO ... Ronni Kappos, brought her beautifully crafted mid-century modern jewelry collection for a 1 night only trunk show. So if you got a piece, then you're a lucky gal!

The event expanded to the back parking lot, where DJs were spinning, a local band MIRDEN rocked it out, while we savored yummy delights from Auntie's Fry Bread & Lake Street Creamery trucks.

Check out the fun event photos below & find out more about the art click HERE! Magical Summerland on view through June 30th, 2011
